Terry Age 80
Reflecting upon turning 80, it struck me that although all of my grown children know me, (as we all sort of grew up together), for the most part they are only partially aware of much of my philosophical reasoning. As to my spiritual conclusions and mystical thinking, the immediate family knows some, but not as much as they may think. As to their respective husbands and wives, their significant others and each of their extended families including grandchildren and great grandchildren, this simple website may serve as an occasional source of insight from a family patriarch of an earlier age.
As my deceased wife Maureen used to say, "Terry doesn't know what he's thinking until he reads what he writes." She was being funny, but it’s true enough. When subject matter is personally interesting, complex, or confusing, I tend to organize my thoughts by writing. The act of writing tends to be clarifying, something my run-away mind is frequently in need of.
