Background
Brian Soloimon owns Solomon’s Landing restaurant on the Cabo Marina, probably the most successful restaurant in Cabo. I have known him for many years. I have never gone to his poker parties, gone fishing with him, or attended one of his rather famous Ayahuasca retreats, notwithstanding having been asked many times. We are friends but are not close. I had no contact with him in several months this winter. I had not been going into town to his bar and restaurant during the high season when the highways and restaurants are filled with tourists. I had become something of a recluse staying at home. On the 23rd of March 2026 I dreamed of Brian three times in a single night. Each time I woke up shaken eventually went back to bed and dreamed the same thing again. The dream was clear. Brian was in imminent danger of murder. I sent him a text the next day as follows.
24 March 2026
Brian,
This is very odd. I dreamed about you 3 times last night. Each time I awoke and walked around stunned. I cannot remember dreaming about anyone I knew before, especially after awaking and going back to sleep three separate times. I awoke in the morning thinking I should tell you what I heard in my dream. Then I talked myself out of it, as I decided you'd think I was nuts.
Later this morning I was walking Buddy down on the beach pathway and I ran into Jenny walking Coco. She told me she had an odd dream about you last night. She thought you were not feeling well. Now, that is very strange. We had not been discussing you and neither of us had any reason to be focused on you.
In my case, I recognized you in a different setting, but no one else. You were pleasant, but I heard a woman's voice to a man, saying, "It is time to take him out." It was clearly about you. I did not recognize the voice, nor have I any idea who they might be or what it means. But I decided to share it with you because I dreamed it three different times in a single night. I suppose this all sounds really Woo woo. Anyway, take it for what it’s worth. Terry
Brian did not reach out for another week or more. When he did he wanted to know how I knew to warn him. Initially, it had bothered me for a couple of days, then after no response I had basically forgotten about it. As it turned out when I wrote Brian he was in central Mexico at his getaway Ayahuasca resort, where the wealthy go to get stoned and find enlightenment. The photos of his place are quite beautiful. It was relatively new. He had it built a few years ago on a lake with boat dock, etc. His lawyer, Pedro, who oddly I also know, was with him. Previously I was unaware Pedro was Brian’s lawyer.
Directly after receiving my warning, there was an attempt on Brian’s life by two cartel hit men hired by a woman that had been Brian’s consort previously. Because of my warning, which Brian nervously had shared with Pedro, they outlined an escape plan just in case something were to happen. Brian told me who the woman was who’s voice I had repeatedly heard in the three dreams. (Because this drama has not yet ended, I will not mention her by name.) It seems she wanted to lay claim to Brian’s very valuable lakefront property that he only visited from time to time. She had taken up residence when he was gone. So, under Mexican law, were he to die, she would claim common law wife and prove she was residing in the property. A cartel controlled judge had already agreed to convey the title to her upon Brian’s death.
The tale I heard from both Brian on the phone, and later Pedro in person, was simply terrifying. The cartel hit men had two local police in their pocket and altogether there were 3 attempts to corner Brian and Pedro. Failing a first hit, the woman filed a police report that Brian had made an attempt on her life, so the police then put out an arrest bulletin on him. It was clear he would be murdered if arrested. Pedro was originally from the area they were in. He had resources, and with the help of others, they switched cars repeatedly so police could not track them. They escaped the area after two days of shifting between the houses of Pedro’s friends. They finally escaped town by a circuitous and time-consuming route and eventually some days later were able to get back to Cabo.
The last two months Brian has stayed in his home with hired guards posted 24 hours a day. He lives in the Pedregal. (Cabo’s Beverly Hills) His daughter, Samantha, who runs Solomon’s, went literally into shock due to fear of kidnapping. She left her home in my neighborhood and moved in with her father for the past two months. Her husband got so spooked he left their house and checked into a shrink ward. Yesterday Samantha returned to her home. She looked shell shocked, and although she tried to be nice when I said hi, she could not even manage a slight smile. Sam is an emotional mess. She is under daily psychiatry care. This entire story is still being kept quiet and has not yet hit social media or the newspapers. There are arrest warrants out for the woman, the hit men, the two police and a judge. It will stay quiet until there is resolution of some sort. Meanwhile Brian, Samantha, and her husband Roger, are all living in fear of what might happen.
So, why share the story above? Because I was alerted to this pending disaster a couple of days before it actually took place. Why me? I have no idea. What it reveals to me, however, is that there is so much more going on around us than we are normally willing to consider or investigate. I am doing both with much greater interest and meditative focus than ever before.
